Battery for an Electro 35 GT

Please forgive me if this hs been answered before.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the metering on a GT is OK with a 6.0 volt alkaline like the A32PX that I've put into my recently acquired GT and that the results will be the same as with the banned 5.6V mercury original. I can't find the link that describes this though.

I note that yashicaguy still sells the 6.0 - 5.6V adapters and wonder is it getting one for more accurate metering?

I padded out 4 SR44 batteries with card & duct tape and a spring. Camera regulates the voltage whether 5.6v or 6v so metering is accurate. Expect to be impressed if you've not used an Electro35 before 🙂
