Please forgive me if this hs been answered before.
I'm sure I've read somewhere that the metering on a GT is OK with a 6.0 volt alkaline like the A32PX that I've put into my recently acquired GT and that the results will be the same as with the banned 5.6V mercury original. I can't find the link that describes this though.
I note that yashicaguy still sells the 6.0 - 5.6V adapters and wonder is it getting one for more accurate metering?

it makes no difference at all, Nick.
The adapter only makes it easier to mechanically fit the smaller 6v battery in the chamber.
I used cardboard and a bolt to make up the space and it all works fine.

I padded out 4 SR44 batteries with card & duct tape and a spring. Camera regulates the voltage whether 5.6v or 6v so metering is accurate. Expect to be impressed if you've not used an Electro35 before
