Nice collation and images
The clock and camera are always there. I hope this small part of the collection will not be too large![]()

Thanks. I like their designs. I'm definitely in the shallow end of the pool price wise with Ulysse Nardin

Nice. When the Ulysse Nardin GMT Perpetual debuted in the late 1990's, I really wanted it. I held one in my hands. Only problem was the price - I felt it was worth it, but didn't have that much.

Here's a question for you watch buffs. I have a mechanical Cartier Roadster that I had serviced a few years ago because it would randomly stop. Even though I would store it on a watch winder. It was serviced at an official dealer because Cartier does not provide parts to others..
Service cost was something like $600. Now, just a few years later, it has suddenly started to run really fast - gaining about 15-20 minutes a day.
I have since put it in a drawer because, well, I'm not too keen to drop another wad of cash on this thing. I've never had a watch that is this unreliable...
Advice? Anyone know of any indie shops that can fix this within reason?

Ouch. That's painful to deal with. My only suggestion is to spend a bit of time on timezone.com - it's a lot like RFF or Photrio in that it is filled with knowledgeable enthusiasts and dedicated forums for many watches, plus a wealth of advice.
It's a bit of a rabbit hole to go down, since you'll likely become more enthralled with mechanical watches, but that is the best place to seek advice on repair of your particular watch.

Don't put on winder..as in..why add a million tics..and wear it out.
Just let it sit and wind it 1x per month for lubrication..
Or get a brand new Rolex w/rock solid movement and be happy..lol..
