how very convenient!

Me selling the Rollei would mean you'd have to lend Lisa a TLR. I'll supply the film. Would that work?

I might show up on the weekend, and if I do Chris, we could use the same train. Chances are though that I might not get to my parents place first to pick up the Rollei.

I should readjust infinity on my rangefinder(s)... but I really like the tonality the big ole 90mm produces

Here it is: Tri-X@6400.

The contrast is a bit overwhelming. I did some more test exposures and decided to leave the ascorbic acid and baking soda out. At least I know now how to add some fizz to lemonade.

Instead I added a restrainer to get these streaks under control. Another tank is resting right now. One hour to go. I decided not to touch it for 2 hours.

Here is another test from the same roll. If the light is right it works quite well. Surely not a general purpose solution, but the grain is surprisingly tame and it is still possible to get nice tones in a very limited range of exposure. Isn't something like this called steep gradation curve?

I guess I will need a notebook for keeping track with this, otherwise I will forget the recipies...

While I am at it, here is another one, slightly different procedure. Unfortunately I scratched the film when removing it from the camera. I did not expect that anything would show up.

I'm trying to get my 4x5 rangefinder calibrated and I'll bring that too, but I don't think it's going to happen tonight. M3, M4, Canon III RF for me. Ektar 100, and Rollei Pan 25.

a or b

I'm thinking b but a has this peace of straight lines, right angles and the bush in the right front vs the fountain in the left back.

maybe, b works better on its own while a would stand be the better choice within a related series.

Hey, I got that same shot! I was lagging behind and didn't see you snap that one.

My Jobo tank is here but I can't pick it up till tomorrow so I'm going to wait on developing anything until tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers, and thanks for the great weekend guys!!!!

ok, I couldn't help it, I developed the roll of Tri-X, and it has the Jesus guy on it! It's hanging up to dry now so I'll scan and post in a little while and we'll see if mine is any good
