I understand taping a Leica but not so sure about taping a Bessa. Don't you tape a Leica so no one thinks it's a Leica? So do you tape a Bessa so that people think it's a Leica pretending not to be a Leica?
no one that would recognize a Leica would have doubts on a CV not being a Leica
it's more about not sponsoring anyone and giving the thing a "used and rough" look, they simply look more like a tool to outside viewers

raise your hand if you think they should bring back the splatter paint finish. it was a new classic. the classic "bessa" lettering on the front would be nice, too. 🙂

I beg to differ... I much prefer the current model name on the front only, looks minimalistic that way. And somehow I prefer the old school Bessa profile (RD1, R, R2) with the old style rewind crank. 🙂
