Bessa R 35mm 2.5 close focus issue

After years of shooting with my QL-17 I bit the bullet and picked a used bessa r and 35mm Color Skopar off the bay.
Problem is the rangefinder patch stops moving at about .09 meters all the way to the closest distance it can focus (.07 meters)
I do not have any other lens to test it out with. Does the rangefinder need a alignment?

The Bessa R "runs out" of focus movement at about 0.8 meters. The later Bessa's, particularly the R4 will focus down to 0.5 meter with lenses calibrated for it. Most lenses "cuts out" at 0.7 meters though.
The rangefinder will not be precise enough in coverage at any closer distances as parallax would chop of either top or bottom of the image. The larger view of a R4 allows the frame to correspond somewhat to the 0.5 frame - though not 100% exact. It is more a case of trying it out and the keep in your head were the bias is.

Or it seems to me that you got the first version of the Voigtlander LTM 35mm Color Skopar Pancake lens which only focus down to 0.9 meters, otherwise Tom has the correct answer.
