My everyday camera is still the Ricoh GR and probably will be for quite some time. I love this thing. So perfect.

Nope, that was the LX3 - JPEG noise might have been slightly behind the Fuji, but the faster lens, image stabilisation and RAW option made it a better low light camera. RAW was why I bought it. Handling also was better.

I picked up a Contax T3 recently and I absolutely love it . Unfortunately its known to be very temperamental and apparently they can't even be sent back to Japan for repair anymore . One photographer I know went through about 10 of these in the past decade and he always has a spare within reach . So although I'd like to take it everywhere with me , I'm very cautious about using it , which kind of defeats the purpose. Anyways this is the type of film camera that desperately needs to be reissued , rather than the Leica M-A. All the pocket film cameras discussed in this thread are moving towards extinction and there are no replacements.

That was the reason I gave a long list and, it is hoped, my selection were all cheap and not yet cult cameras. F'instance the Olympus XA2 can be picked up for a pittance still and repaired for very little at the specialists if need be. Best to repair in my opinion and so keep as many cameras and repair shops going.

The LX3 is a very capable camera. I had two of them, plenty of images I made with that camera got published. I only shot RAW though, so I have no opinion of the jpgs.
