Ok, so who actually gives their real date of birth when signing up on web forums and who just types anything to get through the sign up process?
p.s. It's an anonymous poll so don't fret unless the mods are tracking everything we do...

Probably not so much of an issue here but it's [dishonesty] probably rule of thumb on the dating sites!

I don't mind my age but I must admit I don't like seeing it under my avatar constantly reminding me every day that my 'use by' date is running me down.
That was one box I didn't tick!

I never think fast enough not to tell the truth - but then again it isn't worth lying about.

So can I change mine to 60 so I can get into Joe's Old Geezer Group?

When asked your age, always adhere to the same practice you use when asked to describe used camera condition. ;-)

Sometimes, I really forget how old I am. Not like I've lost the plot, but I just have to sometimes remember that I've done more than fifty laps around the sun.

If I lie then I have to remember what I lied about and who I lied to...it's so much easier to tell the truth...

Never lied.
As someone else said, it's very hard to lie.

Curious. You and a lot of other people here have retained there anonimity by not using their full names and not providing links to their own site which identifies them. But putting a wrong DOB is lying. A DOB without a person to attach it to is pretty pointless don't you think.

Anonymity and lying are 2 different things, one is an act of omission and the other, commission. I will leave the interpretation to you.
As far as my real name goes, "Dan" is my name and the first initial of my last name is "P". In fact, my real name is Darshan but a lot of my friends here have trouble pronouncing it and hence they call me Dan.
I do not have a website and photography is just a hobby, among others. I do not believe every person on this forum has a website either.
Lastly, I find your comment very personal and offensive and I don't recall anything in my first post to justify this stance of yours. If you are having a bad day, I can't help it and I can only wish it gets better.
There is another famous Indian saying: if you don't know what to say, you should keep your mouth shut.

Friend asks: "So today's your birthday huh? How old are you now?"
You respond: "I'm considered vintage but in mint condition. Shutter is working but my speeds haven't been checked."
Friend responds: "I'm sure they haven't"
I already passed my favorite focal length and now am onwards towards my second favorite length...
