Blik external rangefinder?

Hi,

Have any of you had any experience with Blik external rangefinder?
How much view does the peep window on it provide? Is the view clear?

View is pretty clear, and the housing can be opened easily to clean it. Stay away from the mirrors with anything else than a soft haired tiny paint brush or you will scratch them.
Don't over-tighten when closing up again or you will crack the plastic housing. These guys are getting old and kinda brittle.

I'd say angle of view is about the same as a 50mm lens on 135 format.

It gets the job done and I suppose there's ample specimen variation due to flaky QC, but there's good ones out there. I have one that works fine although it's a bit dusty, and it remains in use since it transfers to all my cameras very easily.

The angle of view on my copy is quite small, much more narrow than a standard lens. But it finds the distance in meters just fine. The case for it has no snap closure.

I've got a question about Blik too. I feel like I'm dumb, but I can't figure out how to align the rf vertically. I've adjusted it horizontally, I've even removed the top plate, loosen that big mirror-holding screw and tried to put the mirror in place manually, literally by my hands. Still, when I'm tightening that big screw, the mirror slightly tilts and the rf image appears higher than the vf image. It has nothing to do with 2 adjustment screws, I've tried all possible combinations.

Well, it finds distance, but I want to adjust it properly. Maybe I just have a faulty sample?
