That's an inspiring sight. And nicely shot, too.
No snow here in Baltimore, but just noticed this in our front yard today.....

Looks like a regular snow storm here in Canada... It kind of funny how it can paralyse whole cities...
You should see what 4 inches of snow does to the UK every thing comes to a stand still

D'oh!
We were hit pretty hard here in Boston. Governor Patrick made a good call in closing the roads yesterday at 4:00 pm. It's much easier to clear roadways when they are free of abandoned cars.

The official figure in Boston was 24.9 inches of snow. Cars were banned from the roads (lifted at 4:00pm yesterday) and the subway system was shut down. It actually wasn't that bad, just a lot of shoveling and we were up and running pretty soon after the snow ended. Luckily for us we didn't lose power, Sandy is one thing in the summer, losing power in the winter is no joke. My street yesterday afternoon:

Funny how news media kept mentioning that Long Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts got hit badly. Interestingly enough there is a small state in between all these, Rhode Island! 2 feet of snow, driving/parking bans in place, lost power/heat for 2 days (out of which one was single digit night)).

Due to my physical condition I have a hard time walking on the snow. I didn't go out during the storm, just took some quick shots with my iphone from our window.

There were parts of New York and New England that received more than 30 inches (75 centimeters) of snow. That would not be a "regular snow storm" in Montreal.
