Pherdinand
the snow must go on
Today there was a large book market in our city...
I have visited it, lots of books for cheap, even english ones.
You know what? I have even found Roger Hicks and Frances Schultz's "Perfect exposure" book! looks to be a good one🙂 and, for 5 euro i can't go wrong with it, anyway.
The rest are:
"Passion Justice Freedom - Photographs of Sicily" (Letizia Battaglia) , full of fantastic environmental portraits in black and white and some text, the book stinks a bit and the binding is somewhat broken but it's great inside!!
"Italians" (Gianni Berengo Gardin) - a collection of over 400 "Italian moments" in a 13x19 cm book that is really thick so a bit difficult to handle...but a lot of good images, again
"Het Fotoboek", or The Photo Book, five hundred photographers each on one page - a representative image and some text details(in dutch), really a good resource;
"B&W photo-lab Processing and printing" (Julien Busselle)...well...if i ever begin to build a darkroom, i will have some handbook for it😀
"Bravo!Bravo" (Benoit) - a funky large book with very cool etch reproductions.
Oh and I have bought a "Scotland and its whiskies" book too🙂 with many great photos and descriptions/guide to the best focusing fluids of Scotland.
I can't wait to have some time to go through these!
Any recent book acquisition from your part?
