Just to say that I bought the center filter about 2 weeks back and have just had the fist film back from the lab...I'm a happy chappy -- the results are excellent and I am glad I made the purchase ( I just still think it was a bit expensive $300 in the UK)

I use a "normal" hassleblad with which I'm extremely happy... but the price of original Hassi gear is absolutely preposterously high, be it filters, shades, straps .. ... but especially the filters .... Now you cannot tell me that a B&W filter is of lesser quality than a Hassi filter (don't know if they make centre filters) and although being expensive their still a lot cheaper than the originals ......

The center filters for the Xpan/Fuji TX are manufactured by Fuji, some are marketed under the Fujinon badge while others are rebranded under the Hasselblad name. They are exactly the same thing.

Cheers for that info. Its the great thing about forums such as this you can get some good advice - pity I didn't ask first :(..

Still hope the next guy saves themself $100 bucks for a change in type on the annulus of the filter...

The filter is 77mm as far as I recall. Is it possible with great results to use this filter on the Voigtlander Heliar 12/5.6? This lens has got an adaptor to fit 77mm filters on it, and it has got a real "hotspot", so to me this looks like a match.

Anyone some experience with this?

I think B&W sells a center filter (49mm) that's 1.5 stops darker in the center for around $192...through B&H Photo. Anyone tried it?
