It has been AGES since I've visited these forums. Sadly, I dropped my R2 today and cracked the main window. This damn thing means the world to me and since I used to frequent these forums I figure it's a good place to ask. I've messaged CQ but don't think they're taking on new repairs. I've also hit up Sherry but don't know if this is her thing. I'm on my knees here, and before someone says "save up for a Leica"... I have one, bought it here on the forums even. The Bessa just works with me better, always has.

It may cost you more to fix than to purchase a good used one. That being said, you could get lucky and find a repair person who has a parts camera, or can source a new window. On line, you may be able to find a non-functional body, as-is, for parts.
Let's hope no other damage was done when the camera was dropped. I really feel for you; it can be easy to bond with a certain camera that becomes more than just a tool. Good luck!

New good examples are going for $1100+ these days. The normal R body is much cheaper and I imagine the glass itself is the same. That being said it's not about having another body, this is a rare sentimental object for me.

Check with a couple of repair shops. With the Nikon SP I know people have had glass cut to replace the large front window.
You may not need an original piece- it is "just glass'.

First - would check with Cameraquest, which you have done. If Stephen is no longer taking on repairs, I would check with KEH, keh.com
