Hey everyone,

Thought I would share my recent (three hours ago) buying experience! Since I'm not yet picky about what film I use, I posted a wanted-ad on craigslist.org listing all the towns in a 10-mi (16km) radius. All I said was that I wanted film, color or b&w, and they can give me a price if they want. Within an hour, I had three people trying to sell me a total of ~19 rolls of film. As it turned out, I didn't need that much, but I met up with one guy who sold me nine 24 colors for $10. This is now my alternative to going down to Hunt's Photo and spending $30+ for almost the same film!

I guess it depends where you live or where you are willing to drive, but without the obligation of paying for classified ads, it's a win-win for me!

Good luck!

I picked up some film from Craigslist... I actually had it shipped from Chicago to Seattle. About 120 rolls for about 30 cents per roll in total including a bunch of 120.

Granted, most of it expired in the mid 1960s, but I have yet to hit an unusable roll. The color film from the 70s is somewhat faded but I really don't mind the look.

Yes, it is a great resource. Don't tell anyone though or these good scores will be harder to find. 😉
