I am not a new member but I don't think I have ever posted on this forum. I just sold an M8 and was drumed out of the corps of Leica Digital Worship so I have come back here. I am an off and on RFshooter and an off and on film shooter. I do like digital and find it really wonderful to work with but the film stuff is still fun. I find it keeps you thinking and slows you down a bit and that is all to the good. I sold my M6 in a fit of lens lust and then got rid of an M8 since I had all I could take of Leica lethargy in making the firmware anything like useful. The .jpg files were worthless and the .dngs took too much time to make useable.
Now I am back to an M7 and I just found a IIIg for what I consider reasonable. Should be fun when it gets back from the shop.
Hope to become a more frequent contributor.
Don't mistake me, I do not hate digital. I am a NIkon user and run a D3 routinely. It is a great piece of machinery. My photos are on Pbase and I will make the address part of my signature when I figure out what is going on with this form. John
