Does anyone have experience with this tester and can confirm that it can be used with bottom loading Leica LTM bodies?

This will only work on bottom loading LTM cameras if you dismantle them by pulling the shutter crate out. It will work on removeable back LTM cameras like the Zorki-4 anbd it will work on M- model Leicas because they have a back door.

With only one sensor, this tester will not demonstrate fade on a focal plane shutter. Neither does mine but you can use the Rick Oleson "TV tester" to double check with reasonable accuracy.

I've been using Rick Oleson's TV shutter tester with satisfactory results and also built a single sensor sound card but find it too fiddly to set up. Based on your post I will save myself the $$$.
