Well - I work in Cambridge but live in London. But I'm up for it! Just need a bit of notice. I even work for the University (but am *not* a student anymore
) so with my magic blue card, I can take two people into the colleges for free (yup, some will charge for entrance). Sometimes, anyway - it's a bit random and sometimes I'm not even allowed in. We can also go punting (then again, cameras and water... hmmmm...)
If/when you do come up, be aware that exam time is a bad time to be coming: most colleges will be shut to outsiders. That often will include all of easter term, which this year encompasses 24 April until 15 June. Also - 28-30 June are degree days. That means lots of students and parents in their finest, which includes gowns for the students. Can be fun to take pictures of.
Lastly - is a Bessa R2 welcome? :angel:

Call me a snob but I've always found Cambridge too pretty for its own good when it comes to producing really interesting photographs... It can be hard to avoid the old cliches and to come up with a fresh vision of the place.
Anyway, for those who care here are a few non-pretty pictures from Cambridge:
<Cambridge1>
<Cambridge2>
<Cambridge3>
<Cambridge4>
<Cambridge5>
<Cambridge6>
All taken on Kodak Tri-X with a rangefinder camera of some sort.
Cheers

Nice pics Vincent! Especially the first one, that's a great shot. I'm afraid I have to agree that Cam is a bit too pretty for its own good, but tourists can sometimes be great for street shots, and we've got plenty of them.
Good luck in Glasgow!
"exam time is a bad time to be coming" Damn straight, Doctor Zero. I've got finals coming up. Am currently posting partially as a means of not writing the last 3000 words of a dissertation. So .... But anyway, a Bessa's most definitely welcome. Any kind of RF I'd be glad to see, if I'm honest. Out of interest which college are you working at?
It looks like we've all got things on, so it might be difficult to arrange things for a while. From my point of view right after the 25th April is good, since I'll have handed in all my work before exams, and I'll want at least one day's break before revision starts.
Feel free to PM if anyone wants to solidify things.
All the best,
Tim
