Camera Museum in Istanbul

Hey, that looks interesting. Thanks for sharing!
I like Istanbul, and my next time around I´ll visit the museum.

Taylan, it would be cool if you can show pics from inside the museum itself.
There must be quite an attraction to photography for a city to have a camera museum.

Hi all. Apologies for late responds. I just saw your replies.

Taylan, I didn't know about this, where is it located?
It is located at Bakırkoy. A little far away to us🙂. If you want to go i will try to explain the way.

Hi shadowfox. Unfortunately i don't have any pics, but if you search in google images as "nakipoglu kamera muzesi" you can see some pics belongs to inside.
Actually istanbul is very a big city and we have lots of opportunities about photography but lots of them are amateur level. High art photography activities are very rare.
Also this museum is the collection of a enthusiastic and he transformed his collection as a museum.

It's interesting how 35mm film is referred to as "Leica film" (imagine that term in a Nikon or Canon ad?).

Great collection - it's a broad browse of different camera configurations, ideas and copies.

Gotta get to 'stanbul...

Hi Ronni. There are lots of museum in istanbul and it is almost impossible to visit everyone 🙂. I can say it is near to Ataturk airport. It is approximately 10 km far to the airport and it takes 20-30 minutes by car depending on traffic. You can see the museum on the google maps at this LINK.
