My M5s need red dots!
I was still able to resist the lure of LTM gear until I saw the pic of that Leica with the Elmar... Nice look... Nicer tool!

It is a beautiful camera & lens. It should be capable of taking excellent pictures and anyone with an appreciation of precision equipment could easily fall in love with it. I know I could.
I hope no one will shoot me for pointing out that the camera is a model III that was also known as the "Model F" in different parts of the world. It will have a top speed of 1/500th. (Other examples are the IIIa which was also the "Model G" and the IIIb that was also the "Model G 1938".) With the introduction of the IIIc, the letter designation seems to have been dropped.

Snort. Thanks to you (ok, and Canon too) joe (but you were worse for pointing out how good the old Canons were
), I'm so far from that place I splutter to think of it ...

Very nice, Rich. Now, the 90 Elmar is just begging for a hood too.

Thanks for looking and for all comments.
Brian, no I'm not using the MR-4 anymore as I managed to...well..break it. I'm sure it's easily fixed but I've been lazy and used nothing but my Sekonic meter and some guesstimation.

What is wrong with smoking crack then, Frank?
But you are right, this is a beautiful camera!

Rich, that is most likely the best looking M3 I've ever seen, congrats ! Nothing wrong with admiring your cameras, especially if they are THAT attractive ;-)
I enjoy your blog, by the way.
