Camera set up to catch Loch Ness Monster unearthed
No sign of the famous monster was found on the camera that had been in Loch Ness for 55 years.

Pics are kinda' cool...
It is OK. This thread was self-expired on April 2nd anyway.Sorry about that. Mods please delete this thread. 🙂
Do we actually know if this is an April Fool or not? The original BBC website message seems to have been posted on 31st March and that’s pretty crap for an April fool. I know it is all incredulous, but people who believe in, and look for monsters are probably crazy enough to use an Instamatic with custom kit, not caring about the unavailability of high street C-22 processing in 2025. OK, it seems unlikely nevertheless. It is OK. This thread was self-expired on April 2nd anyway.

Ah, the old saying... Absence of proof is not proof of absence! I so want to believe that they're really out there, and that not every corner of our planet has been documented, scrutinized, and cataloged. Let's hear it for all the mysterious cryptofauna: Nessie, Bigfoot, an honest politician. You gotta believe! It is amusing that this Loch Ness thing is still going strong despite being demonstrated a "misconception." OTOH Bigfoot is still seen now and again in the Pacific Northwest but never by anyone with a camera. Imagine that?! Especially in these days of cellphones. Very mysterious. Bigfoot can obviously detect cell phones. There is no other explanation. Just as Nessy can detect them, too. ;o) That the two can detect cell phones is proof positive. So there!
There is no need to believe; it is fact. We still have so little idea of what is in the deep ocean, as the most striking example, that it may as well be another planet. More people have been to the moon than to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.Ah, the old saying... Absence of proof is not proof of absence! Maybe add batteries for the M-10 to that list! (OK not fauna I admit).Ah, the old saying... Absence of proof is not proof of absence! I have a pile of the BP-SCL5 for the M10. They are real. They just seem to be extinct in the wild!Maybe add batteries for the M-10 to that list! (OK not fauna I admit).
Good point, their existence is easily proved!I have a pile of the BP-SCL5 for the M10. They are real. They just seem to be extinct in the wild!

Cryptotechnology. Like Fuji's transparency films (or Ferrania's, for that matter). Or the promised SLR from Pentax.Maybe add batteries for the M-10 to that list! (OK not fauna I admit).
But I'm sure they're working on it.It's hard to run a war from the Mariana Trench.
