Can anyone tell me what these are??

I found this small plastic case with these two lenses/filters??? or ??
They were in a box of old lens caps from an estate collection.
Can anyone make a guess what they are for?

It would be a guess too, but as they appear to be a pair, eyepieces for binoculars for use in bright conditions, possibly over water?

They might be lens filters for a twin-lens reflex camera, but I would expect them to have some kind of marking.

There are no markings on the case or the two pieces.
There are 3 sets of slits around the inner edge.
