Truth is beauty
Not one of my Leica M's in the last 20 has ever failed.
Cheers,
Michiel
Great for us Michiel, we're luckier than other people!
I've never seen any of my cameras fail in 28 years! Nikon, Hasselblad, Voigtländer, Leica, Konica and Olympus... Never!
But I'd hate to pay for a new in production Leica and see it fail! It looks like it's a common thing!
Cheers,
Juan

Juan,
I think the fail-rate did not change to much in the recent decades but due to the internet the reports about failure are spreading easier than reports from lucky owner who have no problems with their cameras. That might give a false impression about the real fail-rate, IMO.

That makes a lot of sense, Gabor... It must be right.
Anyway I've heard several Leica owners say "This is terrible! I'd expect no failure for the money I paid"... But I guess any brand can fail... Obviously most cameras of all brands don't fail...
Cheers,
Juan
