Tx2
Tx2
Hi Just browsing this forum and saw your post re the TX2.
I found one in late March A demo like new with lens at Bic camera (used section) in Ikebukuro .Browsing in the store I enquired about a TX2,the sales guy laughed politely just I was leaving he chased after me and presented me with what turned out to be a mint camera. It cost me 210000 yen.
I did see behind the counter 4 Xpan 2 kits ; this is a while ago but ?if you could find someone who spoke passable Japanese you never know.
I spend a lot of time browsing the Map camera used section , it's in Japanese however you can type in any camera name in English and it will come up with it if they have it , Map has plenty of stock and have seen used Tx 1's from time to time.
Good to deal with and I think they sell out of the country.
This is my only post here and am not here to send you on a wild goose chase . It took me three trips to Tokyo over three years to find what I wanted the TX2,at the right price
All I can say is best of luck and don't give up they are worth the hunt.
I have just been shooting on a job on a remote location in Aus and the pleasure in shooting film to complement the d2x was awesome, fantastic for crisp contrasty b/w panos.
You can also buy Kenko polarizers in Japan with hot shoe mount indicators for rangefinders that are an indispensable Xpan /Tx accessory.
Cheers
Geoff
