The set-up handles great but I am letting it go because my wife said that I have bought more than enough photo equipment this Christmas.
Rest assured that the items are almost new as I bought them last week only.

I saw this last week and couldn't resist telling him not to listen to his wife!

Just wondering, are you married, ddimaria? This could be very dangerous advice!

Define "married"...
Nothing official, but by all practicle means...
Yes.
But I find that taking many pictures of your signifigant others helps them to accept the camera gear bug. It makes them part of the process.
"It's so I can take better pictures of you dear."

Heres to long suffering and tolerant wives everywhere. May you be so lucky to find one and keep her if you do. I got lucky the second time around and try to listen closely to what she has to say. Dangerous advice to ignor.

I tend to buy gear that looks similar to each other. Then when I hear..."Is that new?" I'm like...."nah, this camera is about 30 years old...."

My wife gave up on me years ago. Then again, I gave up on HER buying more shoes than Imelda Marcos and enough dresses to fill our closets... ALL of our closets!
It keeps both of us happy.

I realized after many years that there was a whole list of things that my wife pretended to be interested in and enjoy just so we could do some things together. With someone like that I decided honesty was in order and now that we're retired and there are enough things that we both like together for the others we just allocate a certain amount of money for each of us to feed our respective habits habits. If I have enough saved from my share to buy an RD1 or she feels that she needs a bigger kiln. then so be it.
I see that the camera did not sell. Probably too high a starting price. Maybe I'm too cynical, but I wonder about this "one week old" camera that's shot only half a roll of film and his wife tells him to dump it. Really? It's pretty sloppy to have to sell a new item that wasn't "cleared" with the authorities beforehand! His loss? Yes, as the price asked included the trigger winder. Wonder what he'll do now...

Forever grateful I am for the relatively long leash I've been granted...

I should email him about the trigger winder....
Geez, Doug; what a nice way to be "under control"! >
I too am grateful for a patient and forgiving wife!
David, I have the Voigtlander trigger winder on my Bessa-T and like it a lot. Not only for the winder action, but also for the integral side-grip and extra strap lugs. He can't do worse than say "NO!" if you offer him $100 + shipping!
