no matter about the women...there is no dancing to jazz tunes...and i thought you are married.

Frank is easy to figure out, he has dancing on his mind, but, well, you know.

I'm afraid that I generally agree with the folks who say that jazz is not played, it is inflicted.

Just like other pleasures Frank. It might take a little getting used to it but it's worth it. ;)

Talking about that, I got to try a "PainStation2" last night (see painstation.de).

About the clubs, bars, micro breweries, jazz clubs, etc, I'll try to get a list of what's nice in town. I know a few places and with all the people I know in he industry, I'm sure I'll be able to find some really nice spots.

One evening at a friend's house with the stereo on, we were tuned to a station playing jazz and all of a sudden I "got it", and have been hooked ever since. That said, to say "jazz give me a headache" is almost like saying "music gives me a headache". There are so many genres of jazz it is impossible to lump them all together. If every style gives you pain, Frank, then I'm bringing the earwax drops cuz dude, something is really wrong!

so i was thinking...

is this a one night stand over the long weekend or are we gonna try for a few 'events'?, like daytime shooting, lunches out & about, dinners together?

just trying to get stuff straight in my head.

Well, if I travel in up will be for a couple nights 2 or 3. I already put it in my calendar.

I was thinking we could plan several events (obviously, people can come and go as they please). If we're going to have people flying in for this, we should probably do it up.

So, who wants to be in charge of putting the gift bags together? I'm thinking an RFF cap, some coupons for film development, a black MP, and maybe a 50 'lux for all attendees. What do you guys say? :D

Okay, you guys convinced me. I'm thinking the weekend will be a multi event event.

That's fantastic! The great thing is that people like me who are cronically busy with kids, work, building a house/barn/whatever and may not be able make one day, but would be able to make the next day, can still participate. :D

I went to the Upstairs a number of times many years ago. I wonder if it is still there.

Jazz? Nawww, how 'bout industrial! Is the Thunderdome still there on Stanley :)

Make my gift bag a black-paint M3 with the latest 50mm 'cron, please!

I too was thinking of a weekend, not just one day/night. Here are some ideas:

Friday night: Welcome dinner for those who arrive early, a few drinks.
Saturday a.m. - lunch: Street shooting at a public market (Marché Atwater, Marché Jean-Talon)
Saturday afternoon: Visit downtown, street shooting, etc. Mid-afternoon break for focussing fluids.
Saturday evening: Your choice - wild or mild. Wild crew hooks up with Marc, mild crew finds a jazz club or other friendly venue. Possible late-night rendezvous for a nightcap before packing it in.
Sunday: Repeat, but maybe a different part of downtown, or a different neighbourhood altogether. Maybe a gallery visit or photo show; I can find out which photo clubs in town are presenting over that weekend.
Monday: Big breakfast, maybe somewhere nice?

Ideas/comments/suggestions?

I think I went to the Thunderdome too, but those nights get kinda fuzzy in my memories.

This is exactly what I was thinking and hoping for!
