I'm awake and still alive!
It was a wonderful weekend! Too bad I had to work every night starting early and couldn't spend all the time with you guys. When something happens in Toronto, I'll try to join.
Today, I spent a few hours with Guy near my place. We got his films back from the lab. Some nice shots in there. I showed him Boutique Kamikaze (what Bar Passeport turns into during the day). He couldn't believe the amount of stuff there is in there (the stuff I have to put away 3 days a week...). lol
Kyo and Jenny want to thank everybody. They had a great time and are eager to see the results. They really enjoyed the experience.

A Frillion thanks to Marc and Bj for the organisation of this event.
I had a real great time, and just wish I had a decent range finder to use with you guys.
I also would like to thank Marc for the models, this is something I really wanted to do and never had the occasion to do mostly due to lack of models. This is now done and I want do to more. Marc, please forward the thanks to Jenny, Anne-Krystel and Kyo for their presence.

I too want to thank BJ and Marc for their outstanding work in putting the weekend together. Unlike Hubert, I’ve never thought much about photographing a model. So when this opportunity came up, I was most interested in trying something new. Fantastic experience, made possible by Marc and BJ. Now that I have some idea of how to proceed, I’d even like to try it again some time, though I’d be unlikely to get anyone but friends to pose. They don’t look much like Kyo or Jenny, however.
Marc also showed me a great place on St. Denis for lunch & terrific coffee (my drug of choice), and the Rue Mont Royal portion of the Plateau. Thanks Marc, except Toronto looked a little drab when I got in at 12:30 last night.
I’ll post a couple of shots in Dave’s thread asap.

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful trip to Montreal. I was very sorry to miss it -- but my wife and I are off to Alaska in a couple of weeks and there should be some good photo ops up that way.

My gear choices for the weekend worked out really well: Bronica RF645 medium format for the model shoot, Hexar RF with CV50f2.5 for walking around streets of Montreal, and Leica IIf with CV25 and CV35f2.5 in the pubs and bars. The Goth bars shots were wide open with shutter on B and range from 1/2 to 4 seconds. Can't wait to see!

I think, what pleased me the most this past weekend, was, along with meeting the montreal folks and John from London and such, finally realizing that I am starting to get the hang of finding "good light".
That made me the happiest - great city, great light.
Oh.. and we should thank fellow Canuck and RFF sponsor Tom Abrahamsson for the little goodies he sent along 😀
