I was thinking to hit the market around 10:00am... It depends how early you want to get up; I'm here to suggest and facilitate, not to command.

I've been lurking on this thread since I stumbled across it last week. I would have loved to make it to Montreal this weekend but I already have plans to take the wife & kids up to the cottage this weekend.vladhed said:Hmm, yes, maybe I need to host a Perth RFF gathering
If we wait until the fall I might have some mead.
I would also be interested in meeting other local (& distant) RFFers (sounds rude) later this summer. My Canon IV-Sb desperately needs a CLA but I understand DAG is backed up so maybe I'll hold onto it and run some film through it anyway - just won't be able to use long exposures.
Perhaps we need a new thread?
BTW - my Avatar is me in 1964 taken with the IV-Sb on a tripod with a Kodak self timer up at our old Cottage on the Thousand Islands.
Have fun this weekend!

I'm in Ottawa (well, accross the river).
Time for a new thread I think.

I think there was one... or is one... it's like the 24 Sussex or bust thread.

The owner of Photo St-Denis has confirmed they'll be opened Monday. That's the lab I've been using since 1994. Excellent service and very good prices.
So, for those of you who would like to have their films processed, scanned or printed during the weekend, it's a nice solution. We thought we'd let you know about this if you want to show your work to others on Monday.
1 roll C-41 processed (1 hour) and scanned (no prints, CD with 3000x2000 scans) = 9.99$
1 roll classic B&W souped in X-Tol and scanned (no prints, CD with 3000x2000 scans) = 12.99$
Photo St-Denis is located at 3772 St-Denis, just north of Des Pins. 514-288-1405, If you go, tell them you're with the "Rangefinder Forum meeting" and that Marc sent you. It might just make their superb service even more miraculous.

If all things went right, I should be being interviewed at customs right not.

RAlph, you would likely have been turned away anyway.
No, the wife wanted me to get into Canada, and then refused reentry into the states.

I just got home from work and had a beer. I'll be packing tonight and getting up really early tomorrow to drive to the bus station, to get on a bus which will take me to the train station, to get on a train which will take me to Montreal where I will be swarmed at the station.

Friday night's plan, for those who have yet to contact me:
- Meet at Metro Berri-UQAM 8:00pm, in the region of the rue Berri exit. This is at the junction of the orange, green, and yellow lines.
- Heading to Le Cheval Blanc for beer, corner of St-Hubert and Ontario.
- After the Cheval, we'll likely go up to Passeport on St-Denis (see Marc's post).
Hope to see you there. Please call me if you're in town and want to join up: 514-999-5549.
Saturday's rough plan:
- Marché Jean-Talon, around 10am. Meet at Metro Jean-Talon on the orange/blue line. If we decide on a different time and/or place, I'll post it here tonight.
- Swarming of Frank at Bonaventure train station (metro orange line), 3pm-ish.
- What happens inbetween these two events, and then afterwards, will be up to you!
- Later, if the sky is interesting, and the weather plays along, we can take a bus up to the Belvedere on Mont-Royal, or walk from downtown to the Chalet de la Montagne for some excellent evening/night shooting. See this PDF document for details: Link
- Night out partying, shooting, or maybe both!
Sunday's rough plan:
- Model shoot in St-Henri. Meet at metro Lionel-Groulx (orange and green lines) at 12:30pm sharp!
- Marché Atwater / rue Notre Dame / Canal Lachine in the late afternoon.
- Dining together, provisional location is the Claremont Cafe, Vendôme metro stop (orange line).
- Night out again!?

Feeling pretty terrible about it too.
Quite a bit going on that had to take precedence, but believe me, I wish I was there.
I will keep an eye out and make a day in Toronto soon, I promise.

Just got back from having a few beers with Nancy, Guy, Dave, and Hub, as well as a friend of Nancy. We had a good visit, and will be hitting the market tomorrow morning as planned.
