Cannot Activate OVF on X-Pro 1

For some reason the lever on the front of my X-Pro 1 will no longer bring up the OVF. Have I done something wrong in the settings, or is this something that will require sending the camera for repair?

Make sure you aren't in macro mode. That forces the EVF and won't let you use the OVF. Might be other modes that did that too on the XP1, been while since I had one.

Dunno if it has an effect but locking the controls on the back side will disable some things too.

A reminder - Macro Mode only switches to a different autofocus firmware algorithm. This algorithm is optimized for short subject to lens situations where the in-focus success rate requires smaller changes. If one uses manual focus for close ups, Macro Mode serves no purpose whatsoever.
