I just purchased a used M8 from KEH and tried to load Capture One, but it kept saying "unexpectedly closed reload". I tried again. same thing. Now what? Thanks

Capture One that comes with the camera is an old Capture One LE. You have a Mac with a new OS X? Then it won't run properly. Download Capture One 4 (not 5!) from the Phase One Website. It will work with your serial number.

You are not missing a thing. Not having Capture One will save you many hours of frustration. Get Aperture for your Mac. In fact, iPhoto, already on your Mac, is already better than Capture One. iPhoto is very intuitive. Capture One is very unintuitive. I call it Capture None.
