yeah, I bought it cuz I didn't have any oil on the blades, but something must have happened to it ~ maybe it was shook up in the car accident I had? ~ It was on my M8 when I had the accident and it did bounce around on the floor of the car a little.................uggh!

Just goes to show there's ALWAYS SOMETHING happening with these old cameras and lenses, this is the price you pay for using vintage gear?

I sent Don a Canon 50.1,2 after a local repairman worked on it and could not find the fault. Don found the misplaced lens element, and the lens became very sharp.
 
Well, it's going into the repair box ~ very depressing, it's been a very bad past 2 months, I lost my older Brother, had my car accident , now this lens breaks, my M8 is down and must go back to the factory, I don't have a working film scanner and I just traded away my M6, I guess "when it rains it pours" and I haven't had a paid pro shoot since August.

I hope 2011 is a better year for Photography, this one has been a disaster 🙁

Here's more shot recently here with my darling Muse Amaris and my 1967 Canon f1.5/35 on my M8 with a Metz flash shot about 11pm outdoors, aperture set between f5.6 and f8 ~ this lens is constantly sitting on my M8 now, an overalll perfect shooting lens ~ I Love it! 🙂

No the F1.5/35 is STILL not working 100% I'm using it at f5.6/f8 for vintage races and for night time flash work.......next year I might have the time to stop and get it fixed, it's been a pain in the ass....

I just received my Sony Nex-3 body and adapters, so naturally, I had to road-test it with the Canon 35mm F1.5 lens. Right out of the box, the images are amazing! Really looking forward to giving it a really good test, I have several assignments coming up, where I will be using this combo heavily.

It's also great with the Canon 50mm F1.2 (that lens has stayed on the Nex body for awhile!) and also, the Canon 85mm F1.5.

I'm convinced.

Yeh, I'm sure it's not a major deal, it's just that I don't (knock on wood) normally ever need a CLA to any of my vintage lenses, so I really don't know who I can trust with this Canon, and also someone/where I don't have to wait 90 days or more for a turn around for repairs????? I also pay some crazy price for a small repair where nothing else needs to be done with the lens, the glass and eveything is like new.

The Canon 35mm F1.5 is a nice fit on the Sony Nex-3. Today I'm going to the local Art Gallery, to shoot some more digital test pictures. I will take the Canon 35mm F1.5, the Canon 50mm F1.2, and the Canon 85mm F1.5. And Leica M2 loaded with Eastman XX film, and the Canon 19mm F3.5.

I would ask DAG if he could clean your lens quickly or not.

Regarding getting a CLA on your Canon lens, I would call Sherry Krauter at Golden Touch and ask her about it. Or Essex Camera Repair, they have CLA'ed my Canon lenses, and do a good job for a reasonable price.
