Hey, I just bought a canon 35mm f1.5 lens, and I am dying to see some photos out of it. I might not be able to develop any of the film for a while, so I was wondering if anyone else has this lens and would want to share the results? Thanks!

You might get many volunteers to check it out for you! We'll promise to use a 1-hour photo, scan, and post shots!
Get out there, take those shots, post the results!
This is the next "It Lens" for the RFF community, right after everyone has a Canon 50mm F1.5.
I just shot the first roll with the 35mm F1.8, dropping it off.
Joe, collecttor of Canon 35's, does not have the F1.5 yet...

Lots of us will be waiting for your test results. I have the 35/3.5 (the first) and the 35/2 (the last). The 1.5 is rated a tad lower than the 2 by most "experts". I would imagine you will be very pleased with the results. It is a high speed lens, so there may be a bit less fine correction, or contrast. Those are the things we want to know about. If you need that extra speed, it's the only way to go.
Please post, even if the weather is a bit bad.

i look forward to seeing what your lens can do as it has been the topic of some recent conversation. brian is correct in his thinking, there is a small (but rowing?) group wanting to buy this lens.
i have the 35/3.5/2.8/2/1.8 lenses and hope to collect them all eventually.

I'm interested to see the Bokeh of this lens. I've seen a test on the RD-1 where it was rather ugly.

OK so I developed a roll of black and white I shot today. The only problem is that my M2's viewfinder is broken so I do not have the ability to focus. Therefore I do not believe my low f stops shots are accurate. I am going to develop some slide film tonight and post that later under the same link I have listed below. Overall I am happy. Most of these were shot at f8 but some are lower.

anyone want to trade a very nice 85/2 for a 35/1.5?

Joe! You have both of those lenses!
And it would probably take an 85/1.8 to get someone to part with a 35/1.5.

i'm half asleep, sorry.
edited for correct aperture now!
and it never hurts to ask. someone might just hate the 35mm fov and really want something longer.
and besides, i think my 85/2 is the sharpest lens i own.

I was going to say the lens has on odd behavior with color until I read the Tech data!
Very nice shots; thankyou for all of your hard work done after our requests.

I can see *many* people looking for the 35/1.5 now
Watch your rear mirror Joe, I have only a black 35/2.8 and the 1.8 coming... but I'm turbocharged and won't doubt using the Nitro if needed
Just kidding ! Unless it's with trades, I will be better not spending that sum of money.

I've never been happier with any lens than my Canon 35f2...but recently I've rediscovered my 50 1.4 FD SSC, which is tempting me back to certain kinds of images with F1 SLR...just a beautiful lens, and I've barely used it in favor of 24, 100, macro etc etc etc since it was new, mid 70s.

Hi John, I agree upon the great quality of the FD 1.4/50, but what do you think of THIS one?
I know it's not RF related! Merry Christmas to ALL of you!

I prefer the smaller sized Canon 50/1.2L over the huge Ashperical 50/1.2.
It is OK to love SLR's and rangefinder cameras, so enjoy and don't feel guilty.
