Thx Jim. I must admit I tweaked the contrast quite a bit as this lens is not as contrasty as, for example, the 28 Color Skopar I also often use.

Wow that's amazing! How's the color rendition? cool? warm? I used to have a canon 35mm f2.8 that had very cool color rendition and high resolution but I sold it because it was difficult to operate on my M6 and I wanted something faster.

Still my favorite shot with this lens. Epson R-D1 in London. Some combination of lens and sensor flare at the top, I am guessing.

Taken at least 30 years ago with a Leotax and a Canon 35mm f2. I don't remember the film or any other details, but I used to carry that camera around with me to make "visual notes" of interesting places in Manhattan:

Well, Dider, whatever you did, the effect is phenomenal. Sure I have the 35 Skopar and the 35 Ultron, but now I want to ditch the tiny Skopar and find this Canon. Does this never stop?

My only complaint about this lens is they are expensive due in part to threads like this! We all see this and then go hunting for them! A good one seems to get at least $400 now.

Counterpoint time. If you're a fan of smooth bokeh, you'll hate this lens. The highlights show a very fish-scale like pattern, which was one of the reasons I sold mine. I will admit though, that it's a sharp lens, even wide-open.

All Canon LTM lenses are good value for the money and are used by many forum members who I am sure will agree.

I agree with you and I am sure so does Jim - I have seen many great Canon LTM photos from him.

But, like Jim, I sold my 35/2 for the same reason. The Canon 35/1.8 is much better in the OOF department and pretty high res closed down to f4 and further. Or the really great Ultron 35/1.7. Same price ranges.

Here's some shots I made with a well-used Canon 35mm f2.0 a while back. I've since sold this lens off when I left the Leica scene for a while, but I'll probably find another example to stick on my Canon 7. A great little lens.

Didier, very nice results! Your compositions are excellent, and the lower contrast lens seems as though it tames the tendency of digital to blow out highlights. Whatever the reason, your pics are quite good! 🙂
