I have been using a Canon 7 for a few months now, and on occasion I am surprised to see the developed image a little tilted from what I expected. Last two rolls I concentrated very hard on double-checking my framing, and still had a couple of "surprises".

Since this does not happen consistently, I wonder if it is due to how I have my eye set against the viewfinder. Does anyone else have this happen?

(I could understand a parallax-type shift, but I don't see where a rotation could come from.)

Yes, I do wear glasses. ;-(

The framelines are brought up using a mask in the camera. If that mask gets knocked, it could cause a problem. I would suggest putting the camera on a tripod, using a level to make sure it us flat. Check the framelines against a horizontal line, like top of a fence.

Brian, I think I see what is happening - the top frame lines are a little warped. That's why the problem is intermittent ( depends whether I am using the top or bottom of the frame).

I suspect the only fix for this is to get used to it.
