Canon 7 - Help to Remove Rewind Assembly

Hi all - Can anyone give me directions on how to remove the rewind crank assembly from a Canon P - I want to remove the top plate and I am stuck. Many thanks Norm, Canberra

I would like to remove the top plate on mine to clean the viewfinder. Is there a "how-to" somewhere ?

Usually to remove the rewind crank one have to fix the fork inside camera and then just to unscrew the crank counterclockwise

I do not know, I've never done such thing with Canon P.

Here http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64340 you'll find how to take off the top plate at Canon 7. I think that you can follow these instructions playing with Canon P also.
