I just picked up a nice Canon 85mm F 1.8 screwmount lens in a camera store over here, couldn't pass it up when I saw it. But one thing, I can't get it to attach properly with an adapter to a Leica M6. I got the 85mm lens to use on my Canon 7s and also a Canon P, but would also like to use it on my M6.
I've tried two Voigtlander adapters, the 135mm and 90mm, and also an old Leica M3 35mm and 50mm adapter.
My Canon 100mm F2, 100mm F 3.5 and Canon 35mm F2 screwmount lenses work fine with any of the adapters on my Leica M6. But strangely, not the 85mm F 1.8 lens.
Was the 85mm F 1.8 made differently than the other Canon screwmount lenses? I can't get it to attach with that satisfying ''click'' onto the Leica M6 lens mount like all my other lenses.
