I have two problems with each of my bodies...

First one is in IIb, I realized today, everything was fine.

I cant focus in close range...like 1.5-1m no matter I turn the focus ring the the double image stops somewhere and doesnt come on the other one. I check the lens, the barrel moves in-out smoothly so it should trigger the metal in the body. Any ideas?

Second one is with Canon P. I every time fix the horizontal rangefinder shift and it seems it shifts again. The screw was so hard to turn and it destroyed my thin screw drivers then I fixed vertical and horizontal but it seems it is so sensitive so it shifts again and again. Any suggestions?

No...The image stops before I reach to the end of focus ring...and I know I am not closer than 1m...the range is about 1m on serenar.. I am around 1.2-1.5m range

Right, I mean the range of the serenar may be greater than the range of the camera itself. Perhaps the Serenar was made for a later Canon RF camera, like a III or IV, with a wider baseline? I'm fishing in the dark here, but this is the case for my Zeiss 28 and Bessa R4A, the 28's range is greater, so the focus ring continues turning after the Bessa's patch stops moving, and I have to scale focus that last foot or so if i want to get that close.

I didnt think about that...Might be...Maybe I didnt realize because I was shooting farther objects all the time...
Any other opinions?
