Not left handed
I'm making do with a cap from a "Republic Of Tea" canister. Its a snug fit, and is Approved by the Minister of Leaves, and that alone makes everything all right.
Winning at life.

Winter pavement, Jan 2017 by David Hill, on FlickrI found a Schneider-Kreuznach cap to fit - "B+W Schneider 58mm Slim Push On Lens Cap #305" (for use on 55mm filter). And it is indeed 58mm inside diameter, and fits perfectly. But "slim" is taken just a bit too far, and the bloody thing doesn't *stay* on. It seems snug enough, but polished plastic against brushed steel -- the thing just slowly floats off. Infuriating. I'm back to the Minister of Leaves...What size cap fits that hood?
The hood is the Canon Series VI round hood labeled 50/1.8, 35/2.8, 35/3.5. The end is unthreaded, and the outside diameter is 58mm.
One more review from my side - Canon S 50mm F1.8 LTM Serenar
No surprises, very nice lens as it expected, and all of members already know it 🙂 So, this review is just one more evidence
omgI’ll note you end by declaring your conclusion about the “Minolta N-MD 50mm 1:1.4F”, which I presume is an edit error.

Here are a few shots with the 5cm Serenar 1.8 ... on par with the Leica Summitar.
... and stand Dev with a C-41 Kit.
Whoa. I'm terribly fond of Stand development for B/W (w Rodinal) but had no idea the technique is useful with C-41. Do you have a ready reference for how to do this, or shall I just start hunting through google?
