I've always shot a 35mm canon on my P, and shot a 50mm on my Fed2. Yesterday I got curious and decided to mix it up between the two cameras. The 35 mounts fine on the Fed but the 50 doesn't couple with the P's rangefinder arm.

I also have enough sense not to collapse the lens into the P's body.

Anybody have experience with an Industar 10/22/50? Do those work any better over the Fed50 or does mine just have that Russian charm that only works with the camera its attached to?

I used an I 26M and I 61LD on my P and they were great. The 61LD is still with me and it still works fine. Get a Jupiter 8 and a Jupiter 9. They are also wonderful to use on the P.

when I compare my clocked pre-war FED-50 to a Serenar 50 I can't see anything that would prevent the FED from coupling. I don't have a Canon P, but if all the diameters and thicknesses are the same it shouldn't matter. If you are shooting a FED-50 on your FED-2 camera it is probably a later non-clocked lens... I think you just have something slightly skewy in either the lens or the camera. It should work.
