Well there was an advert, for the same camera pictured in the first post. Come on Terence, what's the story? Don't be embarrassed.
I went up and fondled my M3 this morning after seeing the P and 7. This has turned out to be a good way to relieve GAS for me.

Wow!...looks new. Fine photos.
I'm expecting one today...UPS stork's expected in an hour or two.
Does somebody still replace those shutters if/when the wrinkles turn into pinholes?
It cost me $90 in 1980 to replace the wrinkled shutter in an F1... be careful with your thumbs!

Where'd my Bessa go?
Well, truth is I ended up with 2 Ps so am flogging one off in my home market in Singapore at the moment. Wish I could keep them both, they're gorgeous.

Cool. Those 7 pics are awesome! Don't mind if I use them for my wallpaper!

Actually, that's an idea! We should have a gallery for wallpapers. I'd love to have canon-close-3 in 1680x1050 if possible. That's so cool.

Ok, my attempt at camera p0rn now. ;-) Not as good as Terence's, but I'm sure these black beauties will help.

Mine just arrived.... opening box...POPCORN!....what a mess...bubble wrap, tape...
OOOH. Pretty. Very faint scratches baseplate, faint circular scratch around rewind, brilliant viewfinder/frames (didn't expect the 100mm frame, might want to kill that?)...smooth speeds...credible 1-sec, 1/2 , 1/4 , 1/8...
KEH said "EXC" with "wrinkled shutter" ...a credit to them because "wrinkle" is only the faintest possible 3/8" dent and a mere mark. They had to mention it, barely.
I hear quiet gears when I advance..is this typical? My F1's advance totally silently, feel smoother. Re: F1 (I'm comparing)...P is very similar, almost as solid, maybe 1/4" shorter, body itself is 1/2" less tall (and no prism of course)....shutter's as noisy but no mirror slap...film takeup is opposite from F1 :-( Love that folding takeup gizmo!
Not quiet...not a Leica in that respect.
Big VC 50 1.5...mint, used from KEH. Seems built OK, that was a concern...may hold off on 35 Ultron, get something smaller...or be happy with my Summaron...give up 2 f-stops?
Nice. I look forward to better-people-focus.This may reduce the F1s to Velvia scenic/graphic stuff...the P will get UC400 after I check the shutter with Velvia 50. My IIIC's for Neopan for now.
For now it's black parachute cord, symmetrical square knots & Crazy Glue (parachute cord knots slip)....I'll look for a skinny F1-style web strap....nope, on second thought I'll rob my bronze beater F1 and put the parachute cord on it...betrayal after 30 years, but I did at least have it CLA'd last month !

Oooohhh Alan.... nice
How about a trade? You send me those 2 for a modelling shoot and I'd get you a bunch of hi res images?
You'd get em back of course, hehe.

According to the tech who replaced a wrinkled FD shutter for me a zillion years ago, the wrinkles CAN become a problem. If they're bad they can affect shutter speed or hang up, if they're somewhat less bad they can eventually develop pinholes. But so can fabric.
