I recently picked up a Canon P from a fellow RFFer. I've long admired the fine lines of this classic cam and finally had the chance to fondle one when mine arrived in the mail last week.

Spent about half an hour creating these captures that I'd like to share with the rest of you. I haven't actually used it yet but perhaps once I stop gawking at it and roll my tongue back in, I just might put a roll in it and use it.

So begins my pictorial tribute to one of the most handsome cameras out there...

Feel free to chime in.

Are there any Ps out there without a crinkled curtain I wonder. It's really not that bad compared to some others I've seen. Thank goodness it doesn't quite affect the camera mechanically or optically.

oops, i just drooled on my keyboard. how do you make these nice pics? i want to make camera pr0n, too!

I have a very nice 7s that I love dearly. Why am I coveting this P?

Your camera porn pushes me to cheat.

I'm only looking, I'm only looking, I'm only looking ....

Canon P

yes the Canon-P is a well balanced camera - though not a compact one. Here with some of the lenses I like most at my RF cameras... note the brightline finder is not a 85mm (but I'm looking for)..

have fun--- (I don't konw how to manage it with the thumbnails to click on, am I an idiot?)

cheers, Frank

A couple of centerfolds of the 7 to help you have a good time in the bathroom.

Thanks for size comparison, great pictures, Terence. Hehe, you forgot the accessory coupler you need using a "7" with the Heliar 15mm..

The P isn't really smaller as it looks like but the meter don't spoils its sleak line. I have both - I like both...

You mean the external viewfinder? Ya, but I think it looks a bit awkward on the P and 7. Thanks :)

I found an old el cheapo extension tube which I thought I had lost, great way to turn a normal standard zoom into a make shift macro lens. Sorry, I went a bit crazy but those sexy lines on the P and 7 just kept calling out to be shot.
