Recently I've been shooting with a Canon QL17, but it sporadically runs into a problem! Around 7 or 8 shots into a roll, the film advance begins skipping sprocket holes and the film will not advance. The advance lever seems jammed and I have to rewind to the start and start again. Often after restarting the problem comes back.

Has anyone had this problem and found a fix?
Thanks.

This is of no help, but when I read "Jam" issue, I was visualizing an accident over breakfast with tea and toast.

I've never run into this problem. Maybe put a dead roll of film in, try advancing with the back open- see what is going on?

Hi,
I had this problem too, and its very easy to solve:
You have to remove the bottom plate, and what happens is that the spool problably needs to be cleaned and a little of oil.
YOu can notice that it has a spring,, and problably it is too stiff to make it pull the roll.

If any more help is needed, i'll help you with some photos
