Cat Pictures Throughout History

This is beautiful! I love that you can still see the patterns in the cat's fur even though it is deeply silhouetted.

Thank you, Chris.

The location unfortunately does not exist anymore. It is the old waiting room on platform 4 of the Amstelstation in Amsterdam in its original form that dates back from 1939, a few months before the outbreak of the Second World War. The atmosphere there is - or was - unforgettable.

Richard by Mike Connealy, on Flickr

Richard lived past twenty. He was invariably friendly toward any human. However, he would not tolerate dogs. Any dog that came in the house, regardless of its breed or size soon found itself cowering in a corner.

One of two rescue cats that have taken ownership of our office over the last few years.

After studying the situation, he realized people were focusing all their attention (on the presents) under the tree. So after most were cleared out, he felt that would be the best place to situate himself to get the attention he desired.

With my two it is a constant battle to protect the ribbons on the presents and the low hanging ornaments on the tree. I found one large ornament all the way down the hall.

Mine has been very active, still testing his weight on the middle branches, leaning at full stretch from the sideboard, swiping at any bauble within reach and racing down the hall with it like Maradonna for a certain goal.

Having my life dominated by a cat, I recognize this example of feline thinking!
