Cat sticking his tongue out at me

Here is another photograph from Hamlet, Indiana. I stopped in this small town in northwest Indiana last month while driving home from Chicago. This black cat was hanging around by the entrance to Waymire's bar. I tried to get a good photo of him several times, but he kept moving around. Finally, he plopped down on the sidewalk in front of the door and stuck his tongue out at me! The cat looked like a stray, he was really skinny and dirty. I love cats; I wish I'd had something to give him.

Might be. I have only seen cats pant a few times. A black cat probably was pretty hot. My cat was orange, he stayed cooler!

He was huge. 22lb! He lived at my parents house, where he was born around the time I graduated from high school. Several years ago, they got a gigantic dog, a Great Pyrenees. The cat used to attack the dog anytime anyone put meat in the dog's food bowl. He would attack her and steal the food after she ran away! The dog weighs 140lb, and was scared to death of that meanass old fat cat. Simba died last summer, at age 16. I miss him. Any cat that can intimidate gigantic dogs is too cool!

LOL. Definitely a cool cat. Mine's around 20-21lbs... But far less intimidating. 😉

He does look like my cat, in gray! My cat didn't turn mean until they got a dog. He had always been greedy, demanding, and bitchy....but not mean. The dog ignited jealousy in him, and he started being cruel to her for no reason. The dog is really sweet to everyone, and just wanted to be friends with the cat.

No, she didn't. Of course, she could have done something about it instead of letting the little orange tyrant walk all over her! I think that dog smiled for a week after the cat died.
