Hi, I just recently purchased a chaika-II and I am having a hard time trying to open the little thing and load it with film... I did instructional manual searches over the net and could not find anything... I was hoping someone can help me out? I'm real eager to use the little guy.

Hey benson, sorry for the slow reply. My Chaika.2 has the hinged cover with a sliding lift-tab latch on the end. The back cover is a somewhat flimsy, IMHO, so the latch is a little stiff, but it opens fine and I had no light leaks on the test roll. Hope this helps. Good luck!
