Changing lens in bright sun

I think, with something like this, I wouldn't be waiting. I'd pull the roll now and process it. Maybe use the remaining frames to quickly try and replicate what you think might have happened.

One other thought. Is there any way that the film did not advance when you cocked the shutter on that frame?

I am working late tonight, but tomorrow I will follow your suggestion and quickly get the roll out. I am indeed worried about this strange behavior.

Thanks!

Randy

A coda on this - I finished off the roll in my camera with multiple lens changes, leaving the shutter cocked (or not) while changing lens, and so on.

I developed the film, and I see no more of this bizarre "light leak".

Thanks for your responses (especially Leigh's thoughtful analysis), at his point there is nothing to do but keep shooting and see if the problem returns.
