I develop film and paper in small batches, I have a plastic gallon jug for fix. a Quart datatainer for stop, but I usually mix developer (hc-110) in one shot quantities. I have a package of d-76 and microphen I want to use but nothing to store the stock solution in.
So..
I was looking for chemical storage bottles on Freestyle and B&H when it occured to me that I could use wine bottles for storage (Clearly marked of course). Is there any drawback to this? Also, does anyone know of another source for chemical containers? I suspect a used bleach bottle is NOT a good idea.

Recycle. Reuse. Reduce :)

I usually buy gallon jugs of water from Walmart and mix my chems in those. I've never had a problem with plastic deterioration or anything. Cheap and easy :)

Not a bad idea. The package I have is for one quart too. I suppose it wouldn't sit for THAT long that it would go bad.
