Took the Xpan and my 300d to the Tidal Basin this morning and popped of a bunch of shots with the digi and a roll with the X-pan. This is just my second roll with the x-pan so I can't wait to get the negs back. There were a ton of people down there though and I fear the pano format will include to many of them. The 45 lens was a little to wide for shots across the basin to the mall (which would be the only angle I could shoot without poeple everywhere. Oh well it was still fun.

On another note. Talk about gear envy. I thought i was doing good with an xpan and a 300d with my Leica R 24 attached. I saw every single type of camera imaginable down there. Actually saw 2 other xpans! Ive never been anywhere and seen another before, so to see 2 was weird. Total gear envy

Grizz wow, sounds interesting.

I must admit, of all the places ive been with my xpan, ive never yet seen anyone with one as well.

I like ur comment about gear envy, but doesnt it remind you of another kind of envy??? if u get my drift.
Therefore my comment to you is,.. its not what you got, its how you use it!!!

happy snappin mate :)

thanks, Ben, you are so true. I found that I muffed the exposure on several shots with the digital and fear the same for the xpan. Darn morning sun and I let the meter read to much from the sky. Not bad but will need to do more PSing than I would like if I want to do anything with them. I put a few digital shots on my blog (in my sig file). I'll post the xpan shots here once I get the film processed.
