Haiou DFAB with 50/1.4 lens
I saw a Seagull DFAB on an auction site with a more common HAIOU-64 58/2 lens, and was estimated at about 700 euros. But a DFAB with a 50/1.4 lens is a much more rare camera. Perhaps only one in 15-20 cameras has a 50/1.4 lens.

Pearl River, another "Five Goats"
The earlieat single format(6X6cm) Pearl River is the same camera as the "Five Goats". It has more metal parts, a fresnel viewing screen, and Rollei bayonet filter mount. This type of early single format Pearl River was made in small numbers.

Hua Zhong SF-3 TLR
This is another uncommon Chinese TLR. This is a later version of the Hua Zhong TLR made in small numbers with MC coated lenses and an imported 1/500 top speed copal shutter. This is a "new in box "camera I bought some 10 years ago.

People who have freedom of choice, financial security, some education, plus a cultural environment that encourages individualism tend to be more creative IMHO.
Here is another example from a "creative Chinese".
A Chinese cine 35mm F1.28 lens mounted on a Strap lugged Zorki-1. IIRC, I am the 1st guy who strap-lugged a Zorki-1 and assembled a Kiev mount I-61 lens.

Pearl River S-207
Pearl River S-207
Pearl River S-207 was built on imported Pentax K-1000 production line in late 1980's. First few hundred cameras were made with original CKD parts. It added a selftimer to a K-1000. Later it was futher improved to have a silicon light cell with LED display and a new 50/1.7 sharp lens.
The brand name was changed to Mingca MCK-1000 due to a trade mark dispute with Guangzhou Camera factory that made Pearl River brand cameras back in 1950's. These are all metal, all manual of more reliable cameras than early Seagull DFs.
Like many Leica collectors, I still have 2 mint cameras that was never used.
But I don't have to handle them with gloves on my hands, put them in a tight box, wrapped in plastic bags and kept them in a safe. :bang:

These are K-mount cameras. I think some parts are interchangeable with later Spotmatic models near the introduction of their K mount cameras.

Hi Will,
I put the lens into a M42-LTM 39 adaptor. These lenses have a long enough back focus distance so that they can focus to infinate.
Also someone here can make a dedicated adaptor so no washers are needed.

Zhang,
thanks for the info, about how much thickness is the washers?
I already have a M42 to LTM adapter, now just need the washer.
How do you hold the lens? Masking tape?
Zhang, is mid June good for going to BJ?
I might move to Guangdong - dongguang ( 廣東 - 東莞 ) again in early June, then I will take a holiday or something...

Thanks Zhang, any idea how much they cost? Are they still in production? I do a lot of hacking with spotmatics and I am sure they are up to snuff for a lot of my projects. I know someone in HK who turned a spotmatic into a M mount camera without RF in the manner of Leica A.

Unfortunately not, the guy had the mount and and the front panel CNC machined, he uses it with a wide angle if I remember it correctly. I have only seen the CNC machined part myself, the machinist who made the part still have a spare one when I saw him last year, if you are in Hong Kong I can give you directions to find the dealer that can find himm the deealer have a street stall on Apliu Street in Shum Shui Po. This was made before the CV bessers came onto the market. There werer a lot of Spotmatic with Rollei mount conversions at the early 90s accroding to the dealer, but I have not seen one myself. That is a project I was considering until ZF came out, but I would imagine it would still be econocial if I want to mount a 85mm Rollei lens.

Don't know their names exactly, but he is one of the friendlyer dealers there, when you come out of MTR, turn right, and he is on the opposite side approximately in the middle of the street, between a battery stall and a tool stall. He *hides* the M-mount in a white thing with many pockets on left hand side of the of his stall. I am friendly with him and he lets me play with most things at his stall, but the M-mount he *really* didn't like me playing with that.
He also had a Cannon RF with a *modded* original Voighlander Lens on it.

Not the two old man on trollies, I don't deal with him either because of their detatchment from reality, this guy I mantioned wears glasses and cap and looks to be in his 50s. Nice chap. He also had quite a few modded items, but he doesn't put it on the table so you will have to ask. BTW What is that monster in your last foto?
