i have a nikon 35-135 zoom finder to handle the 85.
my wides are for fast shooting, the 85 will be slow, no doubt. people used to complain about the 150 on the mamiya 6 and i never had a problem with it. worse comes to worst and i sell it.

Oh how I hate you Joe for starting this thread
I've been going over the same sort of decisions lately and you've got my head spinning again. I currently have CV15, CV25, CV28, 40 Rokkor and Jupiter-8. Been considering selling the 25 now I have the 28 Ultron and sell the Rokkor too and get a 50 Nokton 1.5. While the Jupiter-8 gives me good quality shots the focus ring is a tad stiff and thought if I add the Nokton I would have a CV15/28/50 line-up. The Rokkor is good but I wondered whether this was too near to the 28 and a fifty might be better.
I'd pretty much decided to do this and along with my Minolta CLE and Canon G7 I was going tomorrow to see what my local dealer had in stock to trade. Now I'm re-thinking my choices again, so thanks for that Joe. Guess I don't like having an arsenal of lenses especially if they sometimes go unused.
I've found that my RF bag has slowly been increasing in weight and just wanna keep it simple.
That said, I'm off to Oxford next week for a few days and intend shooting with the 15 and 28 only.

what can i say?
this hobby can be a strain, eh?
i just ordered my 85 so i will have now have a 15/21/28/35/50/85/arsenal.
will likely sell the 21 and 35 even though i love those 2 lenses...and go with 2 kits a 15/50 and 28/85.
will sleep on it.

Sorry, changed my mind. Perfect kit for you seems to be 12/75/90

It depends,
I, for example, shoot almost exclusively with wide angle lenses, therefor I would choose the first option, in order to have as much wide angle lenses as possible, so I think it is up to you and your prefrences

Well Joe, I went and did a trade. Traded the G7 and my CV25/4 against a Konica M-Hexanon 50/2. Couldn't bring myself to part with the CLE just yet. So now my RD1 kit is CV15, CV28/2 ultron and the new Hex 50/2. These will be my main lenses. Still got the 40 Rokkor which wil probaly live on the CLE now and the Jupiter-8 I'll hang onto for it's smooth qualities.
Here's a shot with the Hex I took on the way home.

looks good kuvvy!
i like my 50 on the rd1, makes for a fast 75 (my only fast lens).
i am thinking about 2 kits...
15/28/50 and 21/35/85
wider and not so wide kits or longer and not so long, depending on how you look at it
