Choosing a Wedding Photographer (I don't wanna).

Riccis is a true artist. I have followed his work for some time. I love the pix but I bet there are people who are happier with a more traditional approach.

You and your lady must have friends who have used photographers. It may be best to get a reference and look at the work they produced.

Taking the pix is one element. Timely delivery and personality are also important.

I was extremely lucky back in the early nineties when I got married, that the girl who worked for me at the time was dating a photographer who worked for a Brisbane newspaper. She told him he could come to the wedding with her provided he brought his camera with him and took photographs. The photos he took as guest just blew me and everyone else who saw them away ... I saw him frequently during the evening wandering around with a glass of wine in one hand and his Canon (posssibly Nikon?) SLR in the other shooting one handed. These casuals and the formal shots he handed us were superb and I still look at them today and marvel at the guy's skill!

He subsequently went overseas and worked for Reuters and I frequently saw his work on the front page of Australian papers.

I just wanted to follow up again. I've gotten some preliminary results from the photos I had come to the wedding. It was freeeeezing and miserable up in Portland oregon so they happy with a warm Memorial Day weekend in sunny, warm Southern California. They were great to work with and I'm pleased with the results I've seen so far.
